The Price of Assistance
The episode opens with Xiaofe, Togishi, and Hikaru negotiating with a menacing Boss over a steaming hotpot. The Boss demands an exorbitant sum for his services, then slyly suggests an alternative: "working with your body." This leads to a heated misunderstanding, with Togishi furiously accosting Xiaofe, believing he's sold himself. The revelation that the "work" is a modeling gig leaves both Xiaofe and Togishi reeling, realizing they've been manipulated into the Boss's scheme.
Rainy Day Revelations
Under a relentless downpour, the team prepares for the photoshoot. Xiaofe's sarcasm barely masks his nerves, while Togishi attempts to reassure the anxious Hikaru. The mood shifts dramatically with the arrival of Felix, the model recently fired by the Boss. Felix hurls accusations, blaming Togishi for his dismissal and suggesting his success is merely a result of connections and appearance.
Togishi's Cold Logic
Togishi responds to Felix's accusations with an unexpected, measured, and devastatingly logical counter-argument. He exposes Felix's actual misconduct, clarifying the real reason for his dismissal and asserting that his own success is earned, not given. As Felix is escorted away by security, Togishi's usually quiet demeanor gives way to a surprising display of sharp intellect. His eyes briefly glow orange, hinting at something more beneath the surface.
A Moment of Light
The rain clears, revealing a serene park for the photoshoot, offering a temporary reprieve from the earlier tension. Togishi playfully pushes Xiaofe off a bicycle, then offers reassuring words, acting as a confident mentor during the shoot. The two, along with Hikaru, endure the physical demands of modeling, culminating in moments of exhaustion and amusement. This sequence highlights the burgeoning bond forming between Xiaofe and Togishi, a stark contrast to the earlier hostilities.
A Schemer's Reward
Following the photoshoot, the enigmatic Boss praises their talents, offering a 'contract' that hints at future obligations. He then directs Xiaofe and Togishi to a mental clinic, revealing that Wang Qing, a figure from their past, now works there as a psychological counselor named Chris. The Boss arranges appointments for them under the guise of patients, a calculated move that only deepens the mystery of his intentions. Xiaofe receives a charm from the Boss, thanking him by his true name, Bain, revealing a deeper, more complicated relationship.
A Deal in the Dark
In a dimly lit cinema, Togishi secretly meets with the Boss, who probes about Wang Qing's location, confirming Togishi's covert role. Togishi attempts to cancel their contract, expressing genuine regret over deceiving his friends. The Boss, ever the manipulator, questions the nature of friendship when true faces are revealed, yet deceptively agrees to Togishi's request. His smug smile and a red notebook hint at deeper secrets and unfulfilled expectations, leaving Togishi unnerved.
Farewell and Foreboding
The Boss dismisses Felix's importance to Togishi, shifting focus to the larger game at play. As Togishi prepares to leave, Xiaofe warns him to report any danger immediately, promising to come to his aid. Togishi smiles, promising to return with good news, projecting confidence despite the dark currents swirling around them. He walks away, leaving Xiaofe to face the clinic alone, the weight of their respective missions settling in.
The Fateful Meeting
Xiaofe hesitates at the clinic doorway, still shadowed by the Boss, who demands to know his reasons for lingering. Xiaofe asserts he has his own agenda, independent of the Boss's machinations. The Boss then turns the tables, questioning Xiaofe's persistent "murderous intent" towards him, a moment of startling directness. Inside, Chris, serene and elegant, introduces herself, acknowledging Xiaofe by an unfamiliar name, "Jon Shaoshi," and claiming she's been waiting for him. Xiaofe is visibly shaken, realizing this calm woman is the transformed Wang Qing.
Chris's Perception
Chris invites Xiaofe to sit, observing his nervous demeanor. She smoothly dismisses his protestations of not being "sick," noting that most clients deny their need for help. Her calm demeanor belies a sharp intellect as she perceptively deduces Xiaofe's conflict, even going so far as to guess he fought with his father. Chris explains her observations of his physical tells—his shifting gaze, anxious reactions, and underlying remorse—proving his body's honesty even when his words try to deceive. She offers a path forward, reassuring him that there is time to talk things through.
EPISODE REVIEWS

Bener - bener bagus banget ceritanya, khawatir banget gara - gara cheng Xiaoshi gegabah banget ngambil keputusan mana endingnya gantung banget lagi.

Everyone in this ep is talking about feelings and I’m just here like “can we NOT get murdered today pls?” 😭 It’s romance, chaos, and then suddenly crime vibes again. That ending? That distorted voice on the phone...? 😱 My anxiety is 100/10. DO NOT SKIP.

It was kind of funny how we got a reference to popular 5v5 game. Just as when things were going so well, a plot twist happens at the end to build up the tension for the next episode.
