Damn, I was like, did he change things when they won? Nah, it’s fine. I was actually happy for a sec, thinking he “fixed” things with his mom and the girl. Then the date dropped. I swear this show punishes you for caring. That emotional payoff? Brutal. I’m not okay, really!

It was wholesome how Cheng Xiaoshi was devastated when he thought he changed the past because he was scared Lu Guang might've disappeared, it just shows how much he values their friendship. I can't believe the plot twist we just got in this episode, it gave me the chills.

TOTAL 180 FROM THE LAST EPISODE!!
While last episode the stakes were high in a "high school" setting type of way, this episode takes all that and doubles the stakes and angst.
Cheng Xiaoshi is such a good character to have as a MC and I'm very curious to see how things will end

This episode was absolutely haunting. Realizing that the mission was set right before the 2008 Sichuan earthquake made the happy moments feel so heavy. Cheng Xiaoshi's reaction at the end was sad sometimes knowing the future is a curse to be borne.
