This one's a slow, sweet opener and honestly a smart choice to kick off Part 2 — instead of throwing us into a new arc, it hands the mic to Tino and lets her fangirl out about the day she first met Krai. The funniest part isn't even a joke, it's the dramatic irony: Tino talks about this encounter like it's scripture, and Krai's just standing there like "wait, that was me?"
To be honest, I don't like how this started with such a slow-burn episode. It's pretty okay and covers an important part of the story, but it's simply not exciting enough. The visuals were also pretty meh, though that's understandable given the structure. That said, at least it's kinda funny in some ways.
This first chapter is fantastic. I really liked the story and its medieval fantasy setting. The masks the characters wear are striking, and the powers and abilities are brilliant. The touches of humor, combined with the action sequences, are well balanced. It’s a series I’ll definitely keep watching.
