What an interesting development. To be honest, I thought that the fires of conflict would rage more, but I was so wrong. I didn't expect Ryuga to have calculated things this deeply already. I thought he'd be someone with just brawn and little brain. That said, while I think their decision is pretty noble, it doesn't really help with the situation. What's rotten is gonna be rotten sooner or later.
Episode 8 brings a darker, more somber atmosphere as Raoh's journey becomes increasingly complicated. The episode balances intense conflict with emotional moments, showing that even those who follow Raoh are affected by the brutal world around them. The sense of danger and uncertainty is strong, while the story continues developing the people surrounding Raoh rather than focusing only on his strength. It’s a solid episode that adds emotional weight to his conquest.
In this episode, the story picks up pace, focusing on Raoh's military advance and the moral rifts emerging within his own ranks as his empire expands. While the combat sequences sometimes suffer from somewhat stiff animation, the pacing never falters and effectively conveys the tension of ruling under a reign of absolute terror.
