Leatherman

Synopsis
With a motorcycle, a bag stuffed full of cash, and a desperate exit, Cruz rides off into an uncertain future. That's where this 5-episode OVA from 2001 kicks off — a guy on the run, no clear plan, just a bike and whatever he grabbed on his way out the door. The setup has a classic pulp noir feel to it: a man making a desperate move and dealing with the fallout. Given that it's based on a manga and produced by Aiti St., the adaptation leans into that gritty, underground aesthetic that was pretty common in early 2000s adult OVAs. It's short — five episodes — so it doesn't overstay its welcome, and the story gets moving almost immediately without a lot of setup. This is a niche release with limited information floating around, which honestly makes it feel like one of those buried titles that only certain people know about. If you've worked through more prominent titles and want something from the edges of the catalog, this is the kind of obscure pick that fits that mood. It's not going to have the production values of a major studio release, and information on it is scarce enough that going in mostly blind is basically the only option. Sometimes that's actually fine.
