EPISODE CONTEXT
Coming off 'Takeback,' where tensions on the Silvana reached a sharper edge, this episode offers a deliberate tonal breather without abandoning character momentum. At episode nine of twenty-six, Last Exile is still building its ensemble, and the race format here does meaningful work establishing rivalries and pilot hierarchies that carry forward. It feeds directly into 'Swindle,' where the fallout from these personal contests begins threading back into the larger conflict.
