Last Exile Episode 7: Interesting Claus

The episode director must've worked ovetime for this one, because the chase animation was unbelievable for an anime from 2003. Not only the animation, the writing of Claus frustration after being toyed, Lavie's fear, all was writted really well even to the pilot that lecture the two after, we can see their emotions and character clearly. The pacing is great too, as this feels like an introduction to the enemy. Overall a really great episode!

Not to be mean, but sometimes I get dizzy and my eyes hurt during fight scenes. I think it’s because of the combination of haziness and the fast-paced action of the vanships. But I still enjoy it, especially when I’m too focused during those moments. Tatiana and Alex are so cool and chill. I think Tatiana is just a little bit rude. Haha

This episode singlehandedly showed us how each character would react when under significant pressure. The battle was intense, disappointing, and a high flying game of cat and mouse. The battle had its ups and downs but who's complaining, it showed us their character, their shortcomings, and their potential.
