Last Exile Episode 23: Castling Lucciola

As from the title, we know this episode will mostly focus on Lucciola, but I wasn't prepared on how beautiful this would be. Props to the director for the latter half of the episode where Lucciola was fighting, the choreography feels like he was dancing, no wonder The Maestro said fighting was beautiful. The OST was great too, with the calming harp melodies. On the other side of the spectrum, the war was waging and tension was high. What happened to Mullin was beyond shocking, and now I'm scared for our other characters as well.

What the! This is a really emotionally intense episode. There are a lot of emotions I have to deal with. Too many sacrifices for loyalty and friendship in this war. And it's kind of sad. I have the same sentiments as Dunya.

I found myself rooting for the characters I have come to know over the course of this show. I liked each of them, their stories, how they interacted with other characters, it all added to the world we got to experience looking through their eyes. The musical score was top tier as always, and the choreography was the most impressive display of animation technique I've seen throughout an episode, and probably even the entire show.
