Last Exile Episode 14: Étude Lavie

This was a beautiful episode, from the writing, the animation and the OST. We get to see Lavie, and by proxy also Claus's backstory, which is bittersweet. We already know what happened to their parents, but to see and feel what the characters are feeling is different than just telling it outright, which makes it feels more tragic. I like how Lavie and Claus stays by each other side, as I said, two side of the same coin. But what shock me was the news at right at the end of the episode, that shook even Lavie too.

Wow, I super love this episode! A real must-watch! Claus and Lavie’s childhood. And that background song playing while they showed clips of the adventures they’ve gone through? That was heartfelt and amazing. Ohhh, and I wonder what Lavie remembered when she saw Alex? Hehe

We get to understand why Claus, and Lavie are the way they are. It was a great episode definitely not filler, do not skip this if you want a lore drop of this century!
