Episode Context

Coming off Episode 14's trials and forced labor alongside Gwendal, this episode continues the fallout from that predicament as Yuri and the group push to outpace their pursuers across desert terrain. It marks a transitional stretch in the early season, far enough from the setup arc to feel momentum-driven, but still laying groundwork for what awaits Yuri back at the castle. Episode 16, 'The Demon King Case File!,' picks up in a notably different register, suggesting this desert chapter closes one phase of the journey and reopens the series' home-base dynamics.
