Kyonyuu Onna Senshi: Dogeza Saimin
Oshimeter
Synopsis
On a remote island, an unnamed colosseum hosts warriors competing for gold and glory — and somewhere in that mix is a low-ranking fighter who's been mocked one too many times by the women around him. When he stumbles onto the power of hypnosis, his plan shifts from winning fights to settling scores. His targets: Stella, a red-haired swordswoman who doesn't suffer fools; Iris, a priestess with an imposing presence; and Viola, a dark elf who plays the game smarter than most. The setup is classic fantasy-world colosseum stuff, but the central conflict runs on psychological power dynamics rather than sword swings. It's less about who hits harder and more about who controls whom. The character designs are detailed, the animation from T-Rex holds up, and the fantasy world-building gives it just enough texture to feel like an actual setting rather than a blank backdrop. At two episodes, it doesn't overstay its welcome. If you've watched Kuroinu or Taimanin Asagi and that blend of dark fantasy with mature content is your thing, this sits comfortably in that same space. Euphoria fans who lean toward the psychological control angle will also find familiar ground here. It's a short, contained story with a clear premise — don't expect deep lore, but the hypnosis mechanic adds a layer that makes it a step beyond straightforward action.
