📖 SYNOPSIS

The Ootsuji Detective Agency struggles with slow business until a newspaperman hires them to investigate a series of disappearances during the city's festival. Sotaro assigns the case to his juvenile sidekick, Saki, but soon regrets it when the boy also goes missing. The investigation leads to the Dark, a notorious and anarchic underground maze beneath the city. Sotaro is forced to descend into this dangerous realm, confronting its dubious inhabitants, including the menacing Laughing Masks gang and the renegade police squad operating the formidable Demon 463 armored train. The story explores themes of crime, corruption, and the hidden underbelly of a seemingly normal city.
