Kujima Utaeba Ie Hororo

During his first year of middle school, Arata Kouda encounters Kujima, a peculiar bird-like creature, and offers him food. This leads to Kujima entering Arata's home, where he meets Arata's older brother. The older brother is a shut-in, diligently studying for his upcoming entrance exam. After a somewhat strained initial encounter, Kujima makes the decision to stay at Arata's house, essentially freeloading, throughout the winter season. The story centers on the interactions between these characters and their unusual living arrangement. The setting is primarily the Kouda household, and the narrative explores themes of companionship and the unexpected bonds that can form.
