Episode Context

Coming off the premiere's establishment of Megumin's Crimson Demon origins, episode 2 deepens her academy life and cements the Megumin-Yunyun rivalry as the emotional backbone of the early season. It's still in world-building territory at episode 2 of 12, laying the groundwork for Megumin's magical ambitions and the peer dynamics that will likely escalate as the season pushes toward her fateful obsession with Explosion magic. Think of it as the foundation layer, the relationships forged here are the ones that will matter when the stakes eventually rise.
