📖 SYNOPSIS
"Konchuu Tsurezuregusa" is an animated film comprised of five distinct segments, each drawn from Tezuka Osamu's collection of essays, "Essay in Idleness of Insects." These essays, while primarily academic studies of insects, also incorporate observations that lead to literary conclusions and the exploration of mysterious or mythical imagery. Each segment utilizes a different animation technique. Interspersed between these insect-focused episodes are scenes featuring a young Tezuka Osamu and a swallow-tailed butterfly named Oomurasaki. The film depicts the boy's relentless pursuit of Oomurasaki with his butterfly net, alongside the imagery and experiences he encounters in his dreams. This work was showcased at the "Tezuka Osamu: Images of the Past and Future" exhibition.
