This episode was half slice-of-life, half serious episode focusing on Sidonia's current problems. The calm vibes of parts of the episode interchanging with the conflicts Sidonia's protectors face is rather interesting to see, but the feelings of unrest is also thrilling.

This episode was a mix of mundane daily life with a lighthearted atmosphere and the development of a terrible new weapon that immediately turns the atmosphere dark and suspenseful. An entertaining watch overall, definitely setting something big up for future episodes.
