Episode Context

This episode arrives directly in the wake of Episode 86, 'Black Ambition! Blackwood Starts Up,' which introduced a competitive new threat to the idol landscape. Episode 87 deals with the immediate fallout of that challenge landing squarely on the Muranishi Company's doorstep, making it the crisis point in what appears to be a multi-episode arc. It feeds directly into Episode 88, 'Black Moon!? Mysterious Girl Debut!!,' suggesting this conflict is far from resolved and is actively expanding with new players entering the scene.
