Kino's Journey -the Beautiful World- the Animated Series Episode 8: Country of Radio Waves / Tii's Day

The episode follows its characters into a country preparing for a significant event, and the growing anticipation creates an uneasy atmosphere before anything actually happens. The deliberate pacing builds tension quite well, while the moral question has no easy answers. Gripping, but still remains more of a quiet episode.

Shizu's good intentions backfiring again is becoming a pattern, but the commentary on a whole country blaming its violence on an outside force still lands. Ti stays unhinged in the best way lol. Solid, a little on-the-nose, but worth it.

Another good episode. Ti and Riku are so cute in this episode 🤣. Riku wants to understand Ti, but it's too hard for him 🤣. Anyway, this one focuses again on Shizu and his friends as they search for a place to stay rather than on Kino's travels. Their character development is quite exciting to watch. The pacing is consistent and never changes, and the animation is still good.
