Synopsis

A government's deeply unsettling solution to a sexual crime problem involves assigning young girls to elite all-male schools as commodities, stripped of names and identified only by numbers. No individual identities, no autonomy — just a system that treats human beings as policy tools. That's the world Nakagawa lives in, and he's mostly checked out from all of it. He goes through his days at this prestigious school barely registering the people around him, until one of these girls actually gets his attention and forces him to start noticing what's been happening right in front of him. The 2-episode OVA doesn't let you get comfortable with its premise. It's provocative in ways that are clearly intentional — the setup is designed to make you uncomfortable about the system being depicted, not just the acts within it. It's grim, it leans into its dark material, and it's not subtle about the power dynamics at play. If you watched Kite or Shoujo Tsubaki and found yourself disturbed but also genuinely engaged with how the narrative uses transgressive content to say something about exploitation and dehumanization, this sits in similar territory. It's not easy viewing, and it's definitely not for everyone — but if dark, morally confrontational anime is what you're after, this short two-parter from 2008 goes somewhere most anime won't touch.
