Kimi ga Suki. The Animation
Oshimeter
Synopsis
There's a specific moment when feelings finally tip over into something more — that's the setup for Kimi ga Suki. The Animation, a 2-episode OVA anthology from Studio Seven that adapts its source manga into a pair of quiet, intimate vignettes — two short stories, two couples, two such moments. The first follows Natsu and her boyfriend Jun during a summer evening — she invites him over to watch fireworks from her room, and the night takes on a weight neither of them quite expected. The second tracks Kana, who passed a big exam and wants to collect on a promise her friend Kei-chan made — except he's completely forgotten it, which is awkward in a very specific, emotionally loaded way. Each story is self-contained, so the anthology format keeps things moving without overstaying its welcome. The tone leans tender rather than dramatic — these aren't grand romantic gestures, just people navigating closeness and vulnerability in small, recognizable moments. If you gravitated toward the quiet emotional texture of 5 Centimeters per Second or appreciated the grounded relationship dynamics in Koi Kaze, there's a similar intimacy at work here. And if Kimi no Na wa. left you wanting something shorter and more grounded, this scratches a comparable itch. Worth noting upfront: this is a hentai title, so the intimacy is explicit. Go in knowing that, and you'll find two genuinely character-focused setups wrapped around the adult content.
