QUICK TAKES

The premise is kinda funny but the execution is super clunky. The MC dying constantly gets old after the third time. The 2D art is decent, but the 3D backgrounds look like a PS2 game. I'll give it a few more episodes, but the comedy feels forced right now.

Great start for this anime, it creates mystery and makes the anime intriguing from the first episode. Great way of introducing the characters, it's gradual and not overflowing with information. I like how informed Lilithea is about things. Some animation felt stiff for me. I like how they created that ending, making us, the viewers, intrigued and hooked.

EPISODE CONTEXT
As the series premiere and Part 1 of the Queen Irie Murder Case, this episode is pure foundation — establishing the death-loop detective concept, the Sakuya-Lilithea dynamic, and the cruise ship setting that frames the first major mystery. Nothing precedes it; everything builds from here. The immediate next episode should deliver the continuation and likely escalation of this introductory case.
