Karakuri Ninja Girl
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Suzuka and Tsukikage are two ninjas who walk away from their clan because they want a normal city life together. That's the setup, and it immediately goes somewhere unexpected. Suzuka and Tsukikage aren't brooding warriors haunted by their past — they're a couple tired of clan rules who just want to exist on their own terms. When they're caught and punished publicly for trying to leave, that punishment backfires spectacularly, awakening something in both of them rather than scaring them straight. From there, the 2-episode OVA leans hard into that irony — the clan's attempt at correction becomes the very thing that fuels their next adventure, and the next. Don't expect grim ninja lore or serious action choreography here. This is a 1996 comedy-erotica hybrid from Dangun Pictures that plays its absurd premise mostly for laughs alongside its adult content. The tone is light, the characters are genuinely charming in a screwball way, and the rebellion angle gives it a little more narrative shape than you'd expect from something this short. If you've already worked through La Blue Girl or Fencer of Minerva and want something with a similar vintage feel but a softer, more comedic edge, this fits that space. It's not trying to be Urotsukidoji — it's smaller, goofier, and self-aware about it. Two episodes, a clear premise, and a couple you actually root for despite everything.
