Episode Context

Coming off the high-intensity confrontation in Episode 4 ('Swirling Tiger'), this episode serves as a crucial breather and pivot point early in the 36-episode run, transitioning from pure survival into broader character development. It introduces the Nakamachi Circus members and deepens the Masaru-Shirogane relationship, establishing threads that will carry significant weight as the series progresses. With the show still in its opening act, this is where the narrative widens its scope beyond the immediate danger and begins laying groundwork for the long game.
