Episode Context

Coming directly off the momentum of Episode 27, 'Download,' where Masaru faced significant adversaries head-on, this episode deepens his internal arc while raising the stakes on multiple fronts. With only eight episodes remaining, the series is firmly in its final stretch, and this installment serves as critical connective tissue between the confrontations already fought and the climactic events ahead. It directly sets the stage for Episode 29, 'What Shirogane Did,' by advancing character development and escalating the overarching conflict toward its resolution.
