Episode Context

Following the first two episodes that reestablish Yuuichi's return to his hometown and his early reconnections with familiar faces, this episode expands the ensemble by introducing Makoto, a figure whose presence complicates the theme of forgotten pasts that runs through the entire series. At episode 3 of 13, the show is still in its foundational phase, but Makoto's introduction signals a shift toward more layered storytelling as individual character arcs begin to take shape heading into the mid-season.
