Synopsis

Aboard a battleship headed for Earth, two high-ranking military women are planning to expose the crimes of a dangerous faction to the Universal Federation. Sounds straightforward enough — except the ship's captain, Donny Bogan, has been waiting four years for exactly this moment. They cost him everything once, and now they're trapped on his vessel with nowhere to go. The brainwashing starts quickly, and from there things get dark in ways that lean heavily into the hentai genre's more intense territory. This is a 4-episode OVA adapted from a visual novel, set against a genuinely interesting sci-fi backdrop — humanity split between Earth-born Neo Terrors and space-born Neo Solars, with real political tension underneath the surface. The world-building is more developed than you'd expect, and the animation holds up well enough to make the power dynamics and psychological manipulation feel weighty rather than flat. If you've watched Taimanin Asagi or Bible Black and you're drawn to that specific combination of sci-fi atmosphere and dark, control-focused themes, Kangoku Senkan sits comfortably in that same space. It's not trying to be subtle about what it is, but it does put more effort into character setup and context than most entries in the genre. Commander Lieri and Major Naomi feel like actual characters before everything unravels, which makes the setup hit harder. Go in knowing the tone, and it delivers on what it's going for.
