Episode Context

Episode 8 arrives as a deliberate comic breather following the regional tension of the Shonan Incident in the previous episode, dialing the energy back with a self-contained roadside detour before the series shifts focus toward Yokohama Chinatown in Episode 9. At two-thirds through the 12-episode run, it represents the show leaning into its episodic, anthology-style strengths rather than building narrative momentum. Think of it as a palette cleanser that keeps the regional spotlight moving across Kanagawa.
