Sitting at episode 11 of 13, 'Midnight Girl' is the narrative pivot into endgame territory. It follows the revelations from episode 10, where Kumiko introduced Samatarou to her mother, and directly escalates the tension surrounding Kumiko's true nature. This episode sets the stage for 'Kiss' in episode 12, where Samatarou must confront his feelings for Tenko as the conflicts established here reach their peak.
