Episode Context

Coming off 'A Boy with a Demon's Heart,' which pushed the moral stakes higher by entangling Noin in a soul-for-survival bargain, this episode keeps the series firmly in its darker, consequence-driven final stretch. Jeanne's sense of justice is being tested from multiple angles as the endgame approaches. It directly feeds into 'Only One Wish! To Father and Mother,' signaling a pivot toward unresolved familial wounds and the personal history Jeanne has long been running from.
