Kamikatsu: Working for God in a Godless World
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Under the belief that the omnipotent god Mitama will come to save him, Yukito Urabe participates in a ritual to become the new leader of his father's cult. But when the boy drowns during the ritual, he wishes to be reborn in a world without gods or religion. Reawakening in a completely different world devoid of spirituality. He meets a deviant girl named Aruaru, who introduces him to her village. However, his idyllic image of this world's society is short-lived when he witnesses a public group suicide and learns of the country's end-of-life system: at any moment, the government may order any citizen to die. Aruaru and her sister are forcibly taken for execution soon after, prompting Yukito to rush to their rescue—but to no avail. In a moment of desperation, Yukito recalls his father's teachings and utters a prayer for Mitama to save them. Seemingly answering his call, a little girl descends from the sky and annihilates everyone who harmed Yukito and his friends. To Yukito's surprise, the girl introduces herself as Mitama.

This season ends pretty much like before, loud and messy. The show plays with religion, cults, sex, and belief, but mostly treats them as joke material. Overall the animation is just so-so for me.
This episode suddenly become deep and dramatic. Has a few dumbly fun bits in the episode.
The animation looks rougher, but the Gaia subplot at least adds a tiny bit of actual story. Not a great episode, but watchable.
Feels like it is running on recycled chaos at this point. In my opinion this episode throws the same jokes and same messy editing at you again.
Horny ALERT again, full of ecchi scenes. The villain backstory didnt do much for me, but it is still solid.
The weird humor, / horny humor are still there. This episode is kind of boring for me.
There is new characters, a new conflict and still chaotic. Horny alert. I feel bad for Roy.
There are some huge mind-blowing reveals. The ideas are actually interesting.
I was shocked by the starting of the episode, the CGI is so terrible, but at least they dont use CGI for fight scene. Some fan service in the middle of the episode, or else i was gonna rate a 0.5 star for visual.
This episode showed Yukito starting to build a religion with many different methods. Pacing still good.
lol…this anime was…something. aside from it being straight up nasty, it was still entertaining to watch. finally someone figured out that Roy needed therapy. and there was Yukito using his manipulation technique on a kid 💀 bruh was unstoppable. this definitely leaned more towards comedy than action for me. nicely wrapped up.
Cyan and Kai’s perspective were definitely valid. i would’ve felt the same as well. again, not a fan of how some of these characters interacted with kids 💀 disturbing af. Gaia’s real form was fire though. that was a look. her points against Yukito were valid as well. that was what we basically had been witnessing so far lol i wonder if her speculation about him was true or it was really just Mitama’s doing. that was another interesting finding.
i just loved Bertrand’s character HAHAHA it was just cute how ‘she’ basically was just trying to survive somewhere. and there came Yukito with that genius brain of his manipulating his way into Bertrand’s head. but ngl, some of these scenes with the kids weirded me out…not a fan. anyway…this episode still had an interesting ending. i wonder how those kids did that
i didn’t know that they could really make Yukito do all that…never in my life have i ever imagined him acting that way…i thought it was just another illusion or imagination or something. Loki for sure knew how to use her power. all these people be playing dirty. but i bet none could really beat Yukito’s manipulation technique LOL and i wasn’t expecting that ending as well. Yukito really had a lot in his mind to be coming up with that idea. interesting.
welp i guess this episode was filled with a little heartbreaking and heartwarming sessions here and there. and as usual, Roy should just disappear cuz we really didn’t need his pervy mind anywhere near them. i loved the way Yukito got Mitama to do just anything for him lol she really went to a whole new extent for this one HAHA
It’s weird, dumband hilarious and Roy is responsible for 99% of the credit. The CGI is honestly pretty rough.
someone should just get rid of Roy for good. his perverted mind was really not helpful at all in their mission. and Riche needed to calm down with her imagination cuz what the hell was all that 😩 this was another episode of proving how Yukito really took after his dad. and his ability to not hesitate in introducing all those ‘equipments’ into this world. brother really knew what he was doing.
Yukito really proved himself to be his dad’s son. bruh was a real manipulator. a true cult leader. but he really knew how to put his manipulation technique to a good use. anyway, what in the hell was happening in the other church?? the priestesses did what???
This episode was wild right from the start and the whole story and world building is messy and chaotic for me.
so we went on a full circle back to being greedy all over again. that went from 0 to 100 real quick. although the origin was still unclear to me, the goal was definitely understood. the plot just got very interesting after knowing who’s behind all this. what could possibly be done next? we’re only 5 episodes in. sheesh. now im intrigued
