Episode Context

Coming directly off Sora and Leon's intensive special training arc, this episode shifts the energy by reintroducing Layla as an active competitor rather than a memory or mentor figure, raising the stakes for who will ultimately perform the Angel's Maneuver in 'Swan Lake.' It serves as the final dramatic confrontation before the series' concluding episode, 'To the Amazing Promised Place,' making it the last major turning point before resolution.
