This Ep had a underdog vibes. Episode was focused on growth and struggle of Kafka to be a defence officer. New characters development was awesome. Sometime humorous but also created tension for the characters.

Incredible!! Lots of action in this episode. I love seeing how Kafka, despite his limitations and physical abilities, tries to overcome challenges and focuses on the skills he's trully good at.

A very grounded exam episode that shines because Kafka wins through experience, not raw strength. His zero output becomes surprisingly interesting, and the way he supports others gives this episode a genuinely underdog sports-anime vibe.

Episode Context

Coming off Episode 2's major status quo shift with Kafka's kaiju transformation, this third installment pivots to the challenge of concealing that secret while surviving the Defense Force entrance exam. It's an essential early-season bridge that establishes key rivalries and the exam framework that will dominate the next stretch of episodes. The groundwork laid here feeds directly into Episode 4, 'Fortitude 9.8,' where the exam's stakes are expected to escalate significantly.
