Episode Context

As episode 1 of 12, this is pure foundation, world-building, character introductions, and thematic stakes are all laid out with purpose and efficiency. The episode plants the seeds of Kafka's internal conflict and his renewed sense of purpose, directly feeding into episode 2, 'The Kaiju Who Defeats Kaiju,' where his trajectory takes a dramatic and irreversible shift. Everything here is setup, but it's the kind of setup that already carries momentum.
