An interesting twist to the anime. I liked how the backstory isn't boring, it’s really well done and makes you become attached to the characters. The animation is great, as always.

The first episode of season 2 opens with a much needed and still really strong flashback on young Gojo and friends in their school days. What happened to make him and his best friend Suguru Geto fall apart? Find out and be ready for the hearbreak!

The way I feel connected with Geto. I do not know if I'm a villan anymore. I find the story very powerful and deep. Hope more of this past story keep going back again and again. The characters have so much to say.

A polished prequel setup that reframes key relationships with confidence. The tone feels lighter on the surface but carries underlying narrative weight.

Great intro that sets the tone, builds tension fast, and hooks viewers immediately with strong pacing and impact. Gojo and Geto’s behaviors are opposite each other, which is kinda funny. I wonder how they will work together to protect the vessel.

Incredible cinematography! The new camera perspectives make the scenes feel so much more immersive, a total Studio Flex. Both the OP and ED are absolute bangers with elite visuals. MAPPA is cooking a different kind of aura this season. 10/10 start.

Season 2 opens with a bang! The energy, tension, and stakes are all instantly elevated, I was immediately drawn in. Gojo and Geto as a duo hits different, the chemistry is there. Pacing is steady, building the mission layer by layer. Gets you curious in all the right ways. <3

starts with a totally different vibe compared to the chaos we’re used to. It feels chill, almost nostalgic. Seeing Gojo and Geto back when they were still close, joking around like normal students, hits different. Knowing what happens later. Animation-wise, it’s still top-tier.

The quality of the animation was very detailed, the movements of the characters are so refined. Despite the refined animations, the goofy style also makes it refreshing along with the contrast of personality.

High-school Gojo and Geto debut with effortless cool. The graphics of the "Blue" technique are crisp, and the suspense builds as they are tasked with protecting the Star Plasma Vessel.

The animation quality, style and quality is a seamless transistion from season 1. one thing I did notice was the diminishment in the detail on Gojo's eyes compared to season 1 (I mean he's a character that elevates the show).

Young Gojo and Geto walkin' into that cursed house situation like they're already legends?? The atmosphere, the banter, the lore drop about Tengen MAPPA said "here's your prequel and it SLAPS." This is the origin story I didn't know I needed.

the season starts with a story from the past when Gojo was still a student, the storytelling is very interesting and I was really focused deeply into it. The problem is explained neatly and easy to understand with a little touch of comedy. Very interesting to watch.

The animation is sharp and visually striking. The season opens with a much darker tone than S1, immediately shifting the atmosphere. Exploring the foundations of Gojo and Geto’s ideologies hints at the moral conflicts that will test both the characters and the audience.

Season 2 opens by shifting into Gojo and Geto’s past, giving a fresh perspective while instantly showcasing upgraded visuals and cinematic direction. Smooth pacing, strong atmosphere, and confident storytelling make it an engaging and stylish start to the new arc.

The opening and closing songs are really good, Very impressed by the pacing, sound design, art style, soundtrack, and animation for this opening episode. Fantastic across the board! Stunned by the sense of weight and frame timing throughout even the smallest movements!

EPISODE CONTEXT

As the first episode of 23, this kicks off the Hidden Inventory arc—a prequel backstory arc that serves as the emotional and thematic backbone for everything Season 2 will deliver. There's no prior Season 2 context to build on; this is a fresh starting point designed to recontextualize Gojo and Geto's present-day conflict by exploring its origins. The groundwork laid here in their relationship and ideological tensions sets up escalating stakes across the arc's upcoming episodes.
