In the New Year's episode, we have a well-paced chapter, with reflections on all that's new and a demonstration of the luck of being first or last. Then we take a stroll through Sugamo's protector's shopping district where they reflect on health and old age, and we conclude with a conversation about the different kinds of depression experienced throughout the year. It's canon within the story and quite entertaining once you understand the episode's rhythm.

The New Year atmosphere here felt weirdly cozy.
