This episode has real weight. The threat of a city destroying satellite cannon raises the stakes beyond a typical treasure heist. General Basil is a formidable antagonist, and Clover's presence hints at the larger conspiracy that's been building all season. The Saffron Kingdom setting gives the episode a distinct flavor, and Princess Paprika's return is teased as an important connection for future seasons
