It's quite a shocking episode because at first you don't expect the gravity of facing those two villains or the outcome of the battle. However, when everything seems lost, Jolyne hasn't lost faith, and her final decision restores hope for the viewers.

Episode Context

Directly following the ambush that unfolded across the 'The Visitor' two-parter, this episode escalates the prison siege to a critical turning point for both Jolyne and Jotaro. Sitting at the near-midpoint of this 12-episode batch, it serves as the hinge between Stone Ocean's setup phase and the deeper mysteries Jolyne will pursue on her own. The next episode, 'Ermes's Stickers,' shifts focus toward Jolyne's expanding circle of allies, making this the last chapter dominated by the father-daughter dynamic for some time.
