Episode Context

Four episodes into the Egypt arc, the Crusaders continue their gauntlet of Stand encounters as they push closer to DIO's stronghold. Coming off the lighter Zenyatta and Mondatta confrontation, this episode resets the tension with a fundamentally different kind of threat. As the first half of a two-parter, it establishes the Anubis Stand conflict that concludes in Episode 5, maintaining the arc's pattern of escalating and varied enemy encounters.
