Episode Context

As Episode 1 of 7, this is pure origin territory, the series has no prior groundwork to lean on, so everything introduced here carries extra weight. 'The Evil Spirit' plants the conceptual and character seeds that the remaining six episodes will build on, most immediately leading into 'Hierophant Green,' where the scope of the threat begins to crystallize. Miss this one, and the rest of the season loses its footing.
