The core of the narrative lies in the players' deep contemplation of their opponent's game strategy and the complex calculations involved in each move. The anime explores the immersive nature of the game, highlighting how the players lose themselves in thought. The work, created by Moe Kuribara, was produced in 2016 as part of their studies at the Tokyo University of the Arts, Graduate School of Film and New Media, Department of Animation. It promises a visual exploration of the mental landscape of competitive Shogi-chess.
