Somehow the progress so far but it felt like a very slow spaced episode. Skipping the trust gaining process and the early days of adopting of Mongol culture, slowly exploring what needs to be adapted feels like a missed opportunity but i guess in the end the only culture they want to highlight on are Islamic ones. In some way or form they just want to compare and glorify in Fatima's perspective.

I really felt for Fatima when she realized she’s been there for eight years now, basically the same amount of time she spent in her actual home. Watching her clean those sheep organs while thinking about her old life was brutal. She seems so tired of playing the part of the obedient tutor and I'm ready to see her finally snap.

it is crazy how tolui just stepped aside for his brother even though he had all the military power and it makes me wonder if sorkhotani is actually fine with being second best

that weird stone fatima found inside the sheep carcass definitely feels like it is going to be a huge deal later on especially with how much the title mentions her being a witch

i was shocked that they skipped ahead several years and then just killed off genghis khan like that because it felt like he was going to be the final boss of the story

sorkhotani asking fatima to be a secret spy caught me off guard because their relationship seemed so simple before this and now everything feels way more dangerous for the scholar daughter

the contrast between that cute art style and the scene where they were pulling guts out of a sheep was so jarring and it actually worked really well to show how much fatima changed

A very tense and emotional episode as we finally get to see what kind of person the future Mongolian empress is and her motivations for being the driving force of our main character's journey. Sitara's inner thoughts as she converses with the nonchalance and kindness of the future empress is heart wrenching and agonizing. Not the typical role for Misaki Kuno, but she delivers in her introduction. With the passing of the seasons, we see Sitata completely disguised in her lies. Whether her disguise will prove sufficient for the turmoil to come with the passing of Genghis Khan, we shall see.

Pacing untuk episod ini agak lambat, tetapi episode in tetap dianimasikan secara indah. Ceritanya pun biarpun melambat tetapi tetap berkembang dengan bagus, sehingga aku tidak sabar meunggu kelanjutnyannya

EPISODE CONTEXT

Arriving as the fourth installment, this episode builds directly on the groundwork laid in Episodes 1 through 3, which established Fatima's circumstances and the layered social geography of the Mongol court. At this stage of the season, the series is deepening its character study rather than resolving conflicts, suggesting Episode 4 is a critical middle chapter where loyalties, relationships, and pressures are crystallizing. What unfolds here will likely shape the emotional stakes heading into the back half of the season.
