Episode Context

As the series opener, this episode has no precedent to build from, it is entirely concerned with establishing Sitara's origins, her loss, and her reluctant arrival into Fatima's world. Every scene functions as foundational scaffolding, introducing the central mentorship relationship and the historical pressures of a world on the edge of Mongol expansion. What follows in subsequent episodes will likely test the bonds and convictions quietly seeded here.
