The relation of Irie and Kotoko is like those toxic relationships; although the other scenes, like class F student scoring a good grade and Kotoko working hard to buy a gift for irie is good, there is no growth between Irie and Kotoko.

This ep is a total rollercoaster and the second-hand embarrassment is so real. We finally get the character depth needed to see Naoki’s cold exterior actually start to crack, and that study session vibe is iconic.
