Isekai Office Worker: The Other World's Books Depend on the Bean Counter
Oshimeter
Synopsis
At 29 years old, corporate slave Seiichirou Kondou gets isekai'd by accident. he wasn't even the one being summoned. A woman gets swallowed by the ground, he tries to help, and next thing he knows he's in a fantasy kingdom that wanted a saint, not a salaryman. The kingdom basically tells him they'll set him up with a cushy life and grant whatever he wants. His request? A desk job. This guy is so hardwired for overwork that he literally asks to do accounting in a magical kingdom. That's the whole premise, and it works way better than it has any right to. This is a 12-episode TV series from Studio Deen airing in 2026, adapted from a light novel, and it leans into the BL genre with an adult cast, so no high school drama, just a grown man navigating fantasy bureaucracy while slowly getting tangled up in romance he's too work-obsessed to notice. The tone is engaging without being frantic, mixing isekai world-building with workplace comedy and genuine emotional beats. If you liked The Saint's Magic Power is Omnipotent but wanted a male lead who copes with isekai life through spreadsheets instead of potions, this is your show. Fans of Sasaki and Miyano's slow-burn pacing or The Apothecary Diaries' "competent protagonist impresses everyone by just doing their job" energy will find a lot to like here. It's cozy, it's funny, and the romance actually breathes.

WHAT IS THAT ENDING?!??? I DON'T WANT IT TO END YET!!!! But it's so gooooddd i love them plz need more of them 🥹🥹
Sei continues to be a reckless workaholic, and the attentive Aresh has such huge worried bf vibes 🥺🫶✨ Their dynamic is SO GOOD omg... Loving all the comedic moments in this ep~ It really contrasts with the cliffhanger of an ending!!
It's great how fast-paced this anime is. It's quite YABAI, in the good way. Like the lore drops too, adds some intrigue to the world. I can't wait to see more of the characters!
This was a quite a satisfying ending for the church plot. Holy Maiden Yua clutched it this last episode. I really do like the characters in this series, they are a fun bunch with enough to their character to not make them boring. But this ending is a bit open, hoping for season 2
After not seeing Aresh, this episode definitely quench my thirst for this couple. I lohe how jealous Aresh can be, and how clueless Sei is, both are cute in their own way! And there's some breadcrumbs that needs to be revealed, hoping everything is nicely done next episode!
I couldn't help but to fangirl seeing Sei missing Aresh already, as I do miss them together too. On the other side, the plot is unraveling nicely as we are shown what is happening inside the church slowly. And the anime is doing it again, cutting at the right moment.
Sei and Aresh really does turned out to be such a cute couple who seemed to care for each other, even though it does took Sei some time. Even though it is very subtle, I do like how the Prime Minister insinuate he might have feelings for Sei too. Overall I love this episode!
Sei slowly lulled into Aresh's tune, seeing him blush is cute! The main couple is blooming slowly, which is great to watch. Personally, I really like this church plotline, not only it provides necessary drama but also introduce more interesting characters along the way.
Not all good things come when others realized Sei's relationship with Aresh. I like how this episode brushed upon that, as it shows the politics of this story. Personally, I like how cute Selio is, as he doesn't seem to want to bully Sei much. Can't wait to see more of the Church
Sei slowly realizing Aresh's feeling, and I like how the author writes around it, as we the audience also seeing it how clingy he became too. And as I previously said, I like how the other characters are written too, not one dimensional as we get glimpse of their personality too.
Never would I have thought that the prince would be an opp. As for the holy maiden, surprisingly, she's a nice addition to the cast, and definitely waiting for more moments with Ist. As for the plot, I never thought that we'll get to the the mission in real time as we follow Sei
From what happened in episode before, this episode served as the aftermath. Personally, I didn't see it as a revenge episode, this meant more so for the others to realized who Sei really is for Aresh, from Aresh's vice captain to the Prime Minister, which will ensure shenanigans!
Commander-nim needs to up his game fast.
Love that they're not taking it slow :) regardless, its a wholesome ep
Historically inaccurate but super entertaining, the deep dive into magic economy and the absolutely swoon-worthy romantic progression made this a total peak finale! 💖
Seiichirou's intel hax literally low-diffed that entire corrupt church verse they thought they had magic AP but he exposed their scam like a universal-tier accountant, too broken 🔥
Sei and Aresh's dynamic development and that *iconic* kiss? 😩🤌 Peak AMV material, my editing brain's already syncing it to a banger drop.
Another episode, another day of waiting for what's next, at least we're eating content, this is fine.
Okay, another workaholic isekai, yawn, but then they *actually* kissed, so I guess the spreadsheet guy found his OTP and, fine, the church drama finally ended, whatever. 💅
omg Seii and Aresh absolutely slayed their unit performance this episode, the chemistry was undeniable and that fan service kiss was total peak material!! 💖✨
