Synopsis

When she stumbles across a fragment of Demar, the very demon lord she thought she'd destroyed, it becomes clear he's not done with her. What follows is a dark fantasy setup where Rosalia's past crashes headfirst into the life she built to escape it. I think the backstory about her being a retired hero adds a lot of weight to the scene, and it makes the revenge aspect from the King of Lust feel much more personal than your average plot and Rosalia trying to protect the kids while getting overwhelmed by those tentacles was pretty rough to watch but the production value is surprisingly high for this one
The contrast between her motherly role at the orphanage and that monster coming back for revenge is a lot to take in and Rosalia deserves better than this fate
I felt so bad when she realized the insect was actually Demar and the voice acting for her panic really sold the scene
Seeing those tentacles get her in the hallway was crazy and the animation looks way better than most stuff coming from Pink Pineapple lately
Rosalia being a legendary warrior before this makes the whole situation way more intense and the way that bug guy tracked her to the orphanage was actually kind of creepy

I found it really weird that a king of lust would come back as a tiny bug but it made the surprise attack on rosalia in the kitchen way more effective and creepy
It was cool seeing a protagonist who actually has some history with the villain, and the way the tentacles trapped her in her own home was pretty dark for a first episode
seeing rosalia try to fight off demar while keeping the kids safe was pretty intense and the way those tentacles caught her was definitely the highlight of the episode
The animation on the tentacles was way better than I expected for a show like this, and seeing Rosalia go from this motherly figure at the orphanage back to her warrior roots was a cool touch. My favorite part was that moment of realization when she saw the insect and knew her peace was over. It made the whole encounter feel more personal

I really liked the contrast between Rosalia being this retired legendary warrior and then having to deal with those nasty tentacles in the orphanage and the animation was actually decent
Pink Pineapple usually delivers on the art and Rosalia looks great but the way she tried to protect the kids before getting cornered was so nerve wracking
