The theme of this episode was really interesting. Is Kashiwada finally going to make a move? It leaves us with quite a few questions. She’s a fun character who helps keep things lively, although I still think she hasn’t been used to her full potential. And Oota’s older sister absolutely has him wrapped around her finger HAHAHAHA.

I think this is the first time I've ever seen Oota-kun turn so, so red—redder than a lobster! The animation in those moments is so good; they capture that feeling of embarrassment perfectly, I really love it.

And what Oota’s sister did for him with the note? Absolute cinema. I think Oota’s chaotic personality has to be one of the things Kashiwada likes most about him; at the end of the day, she'd never get bored with him.

A nice pacing of the story progression...a good character developments and bonds along the series...a jealous friend that are sad for not having anything....good dialogue with a nice visual

On Valentine’s Day, Kashiwada gives Oota chocolate. Even though her face stays completely expressionless, the gesture clearly feels special. Oota, of course, becomes extremely flustered and embarrassed, since getting chocolate from Kashiwada makes him overthink everything.
Then the episode continues with White Day, when Oota wants to return the favor. He spends a lot of time worrying about what gift he should give back, turning a simple situation into a huge emotional dilemma.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting at the season's midpoint as episode 7 of 12, this follows the winter-themed events of episode 6 and marks a natural seasonal progression into Valentine's and White Day territory, pushing the Kashiwada-Oota dynamic into more explicitly romantic situations. The episode serves as a pivotal bridge in the relationship's development, transitioning from the comfortable friendship-adjacent interactions of earlier episodes toward deeper emotional stakes. It lays groundwork for the back half of the season, where the evolving bond between these two is expected to face more direct challenges.
