Sex has no age restrictions in this future, and society has shifted in ways that feel both alien and uncomfortably familiar. That's the backdrop for Implicity, a 2-episode OVA from Studio 9 Maiami that uses its premise to tell a surprisingly grounded story about two very different couples. A young married pair loses their wedding ring. A teenage prostitute and her boyfriend, scraping by in the slums, find it. She sees it as a ticket out — sell the ring, start over, leave this life behind. Simple enough plan, except it doesn't stay simple. What unfolds is less about the explicit content and more about the weight of choices people make when they're desperate, and what they're willing to risk for something better. The futuristic setting is understated rather than flashy — it's mostly there to justify the world's moral landscape and let the characters operate in it without the usual social guardrails getting in the way. If you've watched Bible Black or Discipline and found yourself more interested in the character dynamics than anything else, this scratches a similar itch. It's a short watch, so it doesn't overstay its welcome, and the narrative actually has somewhere it's going. Don't expect a clean, feel-good resolution — the tone leans introspective and a little bleak, which suits the story. For a 2-episode hentai OVA, it has more narrative ambition than most.
