Imouto wa Gal Kawaii

Everything changes overnight for Shindou Shouhei when his dad remarries and he suddenly finds himself living with a stepsister who dresses like she forgot half her outfit — and somehow doesn't seem to notice or care. Rino Mizusawa is a full-on gal: bold, fashionable, completely uninhibited, and apparently very comfortable wandering around the house in next to nothing. Shouhei can't figure out if she's doing it on purpose or if this is just how she is, and that tension is basically the whole engine driving this 2-episode OVA from New Generation. The setup leans into the classic stepsibling dynamic but filters it through gal subculture, which gives Rino a distinct personality beyond just being the provocative new roommate. Her fashion choices and attitude actually feel specific to that scene rather than generic, which makes her a more interesting character than you might expect going in. The animation handles both the comedic awkward moments and the more intimate ones well, so neither side feels neglected. If you've watched things like Anehame: Ore no Hatsukoi ga Jisshi na Wake ga Nai or Kime Koi and enjoyed that blend of character tension with adult content, this hits similar notes. It's short, it's focused, and it doesn't overstay its welcome. The contrast between Shouhei's reserved personality and Rino's total lack of social filter carries most of the weight, and honestly that dynamic works better here than in a lot of similar titles.
