Oriental Creative Color's 3D animation handles the fight choreography well, with combat sequences that have real weight and flow to them. The soundtrack also does a lot of heavy lifting for the atmosphere, grounding everything in that historical fantasy tone even when things get wild. If you liked Mo Dao Zu Shi's world of rival sects and moral ambiguity, or if Thunderbolt Fantasy scratched your itch for stylish martial arts spectacle, this operates in similar territory but with its own progression-focused identity. Fans of Xuan Yuan Sword Luminary's blend of history and mysticism will find familiar ground too.
