Imamura Securities CMs

Synopsis
In a cheerful miniature city, a nervous rabbit and a restless fox sit down with a wise old owl named Shoken-sensei to talk about money. That's the entire premise of these two stop-motion commercials for Imamura Securities, and it works better than it has any right to. Each short drops you into a cheerful urban world where anthropomorphic animals stand in for real financial concepts — Usagi the rabbit is careful and hesitant about investing, Kitsune the fox wants to jump into everything feet-first, and Shoken-sensei gently pulls them both toward something resembling wisdom. The educational angle is genuine, not just wallpaper. You actually come away with a clearer sense of basic investing principles, wrapped inside character dynamics that are genuinely fun to watch. The stop-motion craft from studio dwarf is the real draw here. Each frame has texture and weight that flat animation just cannot replicate — there's something oddly satisfying about watching little felt animals navigate a miniature city while discussing market fundamentals. If you liked the quiet warmth of Chi's Sweet Home or the handcrafted charm of Bananya, this hits a similar register. Fans of Neko no Ongaeshi who appreciate soft storytelling with anthropomorphic casts will also find something comfortable here. At only two episodes, the commitment is essentially zero. These are commercials, technically, but they're the kind that feel like they accidentally became something worth watching on their own terms.
